Thank you Signalisten, Per Ahman (Tommerup Keramiska verkstad) Gerda Persson (gardendesign) and Ann Magnusson (Art Consultant & Artistic Director) for the trust, support and collaboration.

A park is the interaction between ecological, cultural-historical, social and recreational values. Each small fragment of nature has an important role to play in a larger ecological context. The idea of the garden as a little paradise of its own present in our history, our stories and fantasies. A place where scents and colours, light and shade can be found.

Brunnen is a site-specific work that wants to arouse curiosity and provide the opportunity to discover several dimensions of the work if you visit the site over time and in different seasons. A design with organic characteristics against the background of Bergshamra as a place where recreation and natural values have a strong position. The overall thematic starting point for the art project is the historic environment and the National City Park with its biodiversity and natural values.

The title Brunnen (The Well) refers to the health-related benefits of drinking from a well. Water is obviously a source here, but it may be more about a ritual, a spiritual recreation.

The work will grow with the site and the seasonal changes. As the plants around the sculpture sets and grow tall and the shade of the trees plays in the sunlight, the work comes to life.
